Travelogue: Victorian Garden

Past the spires of Caledon Oxbridge lies the pastoral area known as Victorian Garden. Owned by Miss Panacea Luminos, this private estate has become home to…well, perhaps the pictures will help.

The path from Oxbridge leads to a stone wall and a narrow gap. In the distance stands a stone carriage house.

On top of the carriage house stands a guardian of the estate:

The house and grounds are designated private areas, so I did not go beyond the carriage house. An aerial photograph of the site revealed one secret, however: a stately manor and more dragons!

No word on whether the creatures are friendly. I beat a hasty retreat through the stone wall, back to Oxbridge.

A Soothing Spot

After a hard day in the Steamlands - you in the back, stop laughing; I work hard some days - one sometimes needs a place to unwind and soothe the soul. Not far away from the Sky City is Miss Panacea Luminos' pastoral Victorian Gardens.

A flower-lined path, complete with gas lamps, leads the visitor toward the manor house. (Note the floating neighbor to the right!)

The imposing manor, with its stone exterior, overlooks a fenced-in yard to the right and a hedged garden to the left.

The stone bridges are particularly striking in the twilight.

Victorian Gardens may be sparsely populated, but what is there is beautifully done. Just right for one of those days.

Caledon Victorian Garden

Behind the stately buildings of Oxbridge I saw a bridge I had not before seen. Curiosity got the better of me, and I crossed the bridge to find myself in a bucolic setting. Yet the trees and grass were not as nature created them; they were carefully nurtured. In addition, the gas lamps and stone pathways spoke of the human touch.

Moving further into this land, I saw a few buildings.

The manor house and gardens were breathtaking.

Victorian Garden lies north of Oxbridge and to the west of Steam Sky City, and is the home of a Miss Panacea Luminos. Arriving at roughly the same time as Numantia and Pangur Ban, Caledon has certainly increased substantially in size this month!
