Edison Hypatia is the new home of some of Caledon's long-time luminaries. Radio Riel has its headquarters here, Mavromichali Szondi has Society of Genealogists here, Miss Edwina Heron (Countess Swoonsbury) has property here, and so on. The description of the region reads: "Welcome to the imagined past of the turn of the 19th to the 20th Century. (1889 - 1914) Edison is a historic community in the North American tradition, the hub of which is Radio Riel, a Second Life radio station. This is the era in which technology began to emerge as a part of daily life with the telephone, the lightbulb, the automobile, and the phonograph."
Here is the home of Lady Azul Draken and Duchess Gabrielle Riel:

One wonders why Edison...true, the light bulb and the phonograph evoke the early 20th century, and even slighly later. On the other hand, Tesla's AC current eventually won out over Edison's DC, and one associates Tesla (and, perhaps more so, Marconi) with radio, a staple of early 20th century. Nonetheless, a lovely spot.
