In the south of Caledon rises - or sinks, as we shall see - an amazing engineering feat: a train tunnel connecting SouthEnd with the Duchy of Glamorgan, underneath the Firth of Kintyre!
Below is the SouthEnd connection:
The tunnel dives deep beneath the firth:
And rises in Glamorgan.
The tracks then climb the trestle high above Glamorgan - another impressive engineering feat - before heading into the Duchy of Greystoke, and thence to Nova Civis Caledon:
Truly a sign that Science and Engineering have no bounds in our advanced age!
