Beneath the Vernian Sea

Having discussed the wonders of the Vernian Sea, at least the part above water, I determined to descend below the surface to explore what lurks below.

The clock tower provided a means of descent, and I found myself in a network of tunnels, the glass clearly of some modern design to provide sufficient strength to withstand the pressures of the sea outside.


The tunnels led to various chambers. My camera could not do them justice from the inside. I returned to the surface and entered a submersible to provide some perspective on the underwater complex.



Truly a marvel of engineering!
