Exit Mondserrat, Enter Caledon Perenelle

I had suggested, in the previous post, that changes to what was once part of Mondserrat would occur quickly, once the island was exposed to the Caledonian climate. Indeed, those changes are taking place even more quickly than I had anticipated.

Having heard of the new land mass from Uncle Roland, Kathy and I set out in the Barsoom Express to investigate. Not only had the Guvnah planted the Caledon flag, marking this as Her Majesty's territory, but, as one can see, the tropical trees had vanished.

One can only imagine what it will look like in a few more hours...
[Edited: A few hours later...] Barely enough room to land a steam-powered aereoplane!
